SKUDO HEATS, COOLS AND DEHUMIDIFIES

With 5 cooling powers available from 1.00 to 4.15 kW, Skudo is the complete solution for hydronic air conditioning, perfect in systems with modern reversible heat pumps. The beneficial dehumidifying effect adds wellbeing to the rooms.

SKUDO IS SILENT

Up to only 21 dB in super-silence mode: with the electronic control, near the temperature setpoint it can heat with the fan off and no noise. At every other speed the noise is more than 30% lower than traditional fan coils. Skudo is also ideal in the sleeping area of residential buildings.

SKUDO IS EFFICIENT

Unmatched thermal efficiency thanks to the thermal power with a fan off and the modulation technique at extremely low rotation regimes. The DC Inverter technology allows minimal electrical consumption around a few tens of Watts and a rapid thermal response that allows a management of rooms as fast as effective.

Skudo air-conditions the rooms with the Intelligent Technology "THE RADIANTors". The refined electronic control detects the room comfort parameters and translates them in total autonomy into   pulses,   modulating   the   thermal   emission of the heat exchanger at very high efficiency in combination with the fan speed, from the maximum number of revolutions to a complete stop. Skudo continues to provide heat, even by natural flow, when the fan is stopped, always and only when necessary, with maximum energy efficiency and complete acoustic comfort.

SUPER-SILENCE RADIANTOR MODE

Skudo can deliver the ideal heat output with a silence up to only 21 dB thanks to the automatic super- Silence Radiantor mode. Near the desired temperature, the electronic control reduces the sound emission to imperceptible levels, with a very high acoustic comfort similar to that of a radiator, both in heating and cooling.

ACOUSTIC COMPARISON WITH TRADITIONAL SOLUTIONS

Skudo 250 has a reference silence of 21 dB in Super- silence mode, 24 dB in normal mode, and no more than 30 dB at maximum power. (By comparison, in general, traditional fancoil reach 33 dB at minimum speed, and 50 dB at maximum).

TANGENTIAL TECH AND SILENCE

Skudo has an asymmetrical tangential fan unit with DC Inverter motor that moves high air flow rates with low linear speed, corresponding to negligible levels of turbulence and turbulence of the air, making the device silent.

Remembering that decibels (dB) are logarithmic, generally the noise from traditional fancoil at minimum (33 dB) is exponentially louder than a Skudo in Super-silence mode (21 dB). N. B.: human breath has an average noise level of 20 dB.

THE DESIRED TEMPERATURE, ROOM BY ROOM, IN ANY SEASON

Each Skudo allows you to set the desired temperature value,   then the electronic control regulates its operation with a logic that optimizes energy efficiency and comfort.

The setpoint can be set on the on-board control or remotely with Modbus or by IR remote.

Each Skudo will be able to operate at an individual setpoint.

Skudo is available with on board the electronic module with Modbus technology, which allows the integration of Skudo within the most advanced systems of air conditioning and   Building   Automation, like Integra Benessere, for a complete climate control even from smartphones.

UNSURPASSED POWER IN THE SMALLEST FORM FACTOR

 

Skudo has a depth of only 13 cm, about half as much as traditional fancoil, which have an average thickness of 25 cm.

Thanks to an innovative heat exchanger and tangential fan unit with asymmetrical blades, which optimizes performance with minimal footprint, maximum silence and energy savings. 

NEW INSTALLATION

Skudo can be installed in the spaces usually used for radiators, which usually have a thickness of 13-14 cm. Given the same thermal power and operating conditions, Skudo is less wide than radiators. It can be accommodated in the spaces dedicated to the heaters (sub-window area, partitions, walls etc.). Skudo solves the size problem with heat pumps. comfort of rooms is both quick and effective.

RETROFITTING

Skudo makes it convenient to replace the old boiler with a modern heat pump. Changing the supply temperature from 70°C of old boilers to 50°C of heat pumps forces to double the width of existing radiators (calculation on Mito 4.885, DT with Boiler 50°C power 117 W / El., DT with PdC 30°C power 58 W / El.). Skudo replaces the old radiator in the same dimensions, with the same thermal power, but with the lower supply temperature of heat pumps.

ADVANCED MODULATION

POWER CONSUMPTION LOWER THAN A LED

Skudo is equipped as standard with Inverter control with high efficiency permanent magnet motors.

Controlled in speed (number of revolutions) and power by electronic control in pulse modulation PWM ( Pulse Width Modulation): transmit in one direction pulses in high frequency, and at the same time detect the state and period of the pulse itself. Drastically reduces power consumption, with efficient DC motor control.

The maximum electrical consumption of Skudo is similar to that of a LED bulb: power consumption of Skudo 1000 is, at maximum speed, only 32 W (15 W for Skudo 250), and with 10:1 modulation Inverter, the season-wide power consumption will be negligible.
