The KERS+ units are designed to perform the following functions in each individual room:

• Provide fresh air ventilation from outside the building, with an airflow of up to 50 m³/h of fresh air.
• Recover up to 97% of heat from the extracted stale air in order to heat (in winter) and cool (in summer) the incoming air, resulting in significant energy savings.
• Filter the air coming from outside and that extracted from the rooms.

These units are intended for use in residential buildings, particularly for ventilating spaces where centralized systems are not deemed necessary. They can be installed through walls and are therefore well-suited for the recovery and partial renovation of spaces prone to mold due to inadequate ventilation.

The maximum air flow rate of each unit is 25 or 50 m³/h, depending on the model. Since they operate 50% of the time in extraction and 50% in supply, the air exchange rate is reduced to 12 m³/h and 25 m³/h, respectively. The KERS recoverers provide sufficient air exchange for rooms with floor areas of 9 sqm or 20 sqm, depending on the model (with air exchanges of 0.5 vol/h and internal height of 2.7 m).

The machine is equipped with an energy recovery EC motor fan, capable of reversing the airflow inside the heat exchanger, and operates in two phases:

Phase 1:

The fan extracts warm air from the room and expels it outside through the heat exchanger. This cools the air and retains the heat contained in it.

Phase 2:

The fan reverses the flow and draws in cold air from outside. Upon contact with the heat exchanger, this air is heated before entering the room.

The standard remote control allows you to:

• Use Kers+ in extraction-only mode or supply-only mode.
• Adjust the fan speed based on the desired humidity.
• Set automatic nighttime attenuation.
• Set automatic ventilation based on three humidity thresholds.
• Activate the boost extraction function at maximum speed for 30 minutes to quickly remove unpleasant odors.
• Turn on and off Kers+.

Using the buttons on the device, you can:

• Set the three operating speeds.
• Set the heat recovery mode and activate automatic nighttime attenuation.
• View the operating speed and the need to clean the filters through LEDs.

To install the KERS+ recovery unit, it is necessary to create a through-hole in a wall in contact with outdoor air, with the diameter indicated in the figure, thanks to the telescopic duct, Kers adapts to the wall thickness without the need for tools. Normal 230 V electrical supply is required, and adjustment can be done with the recessed buttons on the device or via the remote control included in the package.

Installation Diagram and Charts

To install the recuperator, a through-hole with a minimum diameter of 102/162/162/202 mm must be drilled in a perimeter wall for KERS+ 25/50/60/100 wi-fi ready, respectively, inclined outward by 2° or 3°. The duct can be adapted to the actual wall thickness. Only 110-230 Vac power supply via cable with 2x1.5 mm2 cross section is required.
