The Smart Detector R290 sensor allows you to fulfill the obligations of the CEI EN IEC 60335-2-40:2024+A1:2024 standard and allows you to install Polo in particularly restricted environments, as shown in the following table.

The sensor is calibrated to detect any refrigerant gas leak, starting from a concentration of 500 ppm, 40 times lower than the flammable gas concentration defined by the standard for R290 gas (LFL – lower flammability limit). In the presence of a leak, the sensor LED flashes, emits an acoustic alarm signal at regular intervals, and activates the procedure for making the environment and Polo safe: the compressor is turned off, and the internal environment is ventilated for 5 minutes at maximum speed. The fan connected to the external environment is activated cyclically so as to quickly eliminate any trace of refrigerant gas.
