The thermostat with humidity control is a robust electronic device that allows you to set and control optimal temperature and humidity conditions, both in summer and winter, without condensation.
The thermostat has built-in room temperature and humidity probes, as well as an additional external probe, which can be connected to measure the temperature of the radiant surface (floor or ceiling). The external probe is supplied in the package). The chronothermostat is equipped with a backlit LCD panel for quick viewing and setting of the desired temperature and humidity values. TH Integra has two Triac outputs, one to power the heating/cooling activation, the other to turn on the dehumidifier. TH Integra has algorithms both to continuously calculate the dew point and avoid possible condensation phenomena, and to regulate temperature and humidity according to the highly precise proportional integral (PI) method.
The thermostat with integrated humidity control is used in floor and ceiling cooling applications, where precise and reliable control of temperature and humidity conditions is desired, with constant control of the dew point. The thermostat with integrated humidity control brings together the temperature, humidity and dew point control functions in a single instrument. TH Integra has internal probes necessary to carry out temperature and humidity control both to give consent to heating/cooling and to start the dehumidifier and maintain the desired humidity. Using a probe, to be installed inside the ceiling or floor, TH Integra is able to maintain the temperature of the radiant surface above the dew point temperature. TH Integra is therefore the ideal tool for cooling/heating systems with centralized mixing, when it is intended to control the humidity and temperature conditions of the individual thermal zones, as well as continuously preventing the temperature of the radiant panels from being lower than the set point. dew. Unlike control systems based on flow temperature alone, TH Integra measures the actual temperature of the radiating surface and continuously compares it with the dew point temperature. This comparison is very precise and allows the flow of water to be blocked only in the presence of critical conditions and, on the contrary, to power the panels at maximum power when there is no risk of condensation.
Thanks to the integrated probes, the thermostat continuously monitors the dew point based on the humidity and temperature conditions of the environment, and compares it with the surface temperature of the radiant surface. When conditions favorable to the formation of condensation are detected, TH Integra closes the heads and activates the dehumidifier to re-establish safe conditions. Once optimal conditions have been restored, it allows the heads to be opened to resume cooling until the set temperature is reached. In safe conditions, the thermostat detects the room temperature and compares it with the desired temperature (setpoint), in case of deviation it activates heating or, in summer mode, cooling. The larger the difference between the two values, the longer the heating/cooling shutdown time. As the ambient temperature approaches the desired one, the cycles become shorter, until the ideal equilibrium, which converges to a constant value. TH Integra also detects the relative humidity and, if the desired value is exceeded, activates the dehumidifier (only in summer operation).
