The centrally insulated duct has been designed to convey cold air upstream of the heat recovery unit to the external intake and exhaust grilles. Insulation is necessary to prevent condensation from forming on the surface of the duct when it passes through heated building spaces. It is also used downstream of the heat recovery unit when crossing unheated spaces (attics, voids) to avoid heat losses that cool the air supplied to the rooms. The centrally insulated duct can be installed inside walls or on the ceiling, but it is not suitable for burial. The insulated duct, available in various diameters, is suitable for connecting all Ideal Clima heat recovery units.
